# e8efb7c0 29-Oct-2021 thorpej <thorpej@NetBSD.org>

Define __HAVE_STRUCT_SIGCONTEXT regardless of its current visibility.

# 50eb61f5 28-Oct-2021 christos <christos@NetBSD.org>

The genassym code in libc also needs struct sigcontext13

# 9e2da5f6 27-Oct-2021 thorpej <thorpej@NetBSD.org>

The stupid CPP has proven me too clever by half.

# bb60ab65 27-Oct-2021 thorpej <thorpej@NetBSD.org>

Centrally define constants that define the signal return trampoline
versioning scheme, and add a big block comment describing how it works.

# 708fba56 27-Oct-2021 thorpej <thorpej@NetBSD.org>

Make sigcontext13 visible only to _KERNEL. Make sigcontext visible only
to _LIBC and _KERNEL.

Merge all MD __sigaction14_sigtramp.c copies into one:
- sparc and sparc64 were not using version 0 sigcontext when there were
no arguments in the signal version. This was probably a bug.
- vax is using +1 the version numbers of the other archs.
- Only hppa was defining __LIBC12_SOURCE__ so it was getting a working
sigcontext before. all the other ports that supported sigcontext had
the compat code disabled.
[pointed out by thorpej, thanks!]
If we want to remove sigcontext support from userland at least now there
is less work to do so.

Retire compat_ibcs2, as discussed on tech-kern@. FreeBSD did the same
recently.

include <sys/sigtypes.h> for sigset_t

- Provide a sendsig_sigcontext() implementation using the existing vax
signal code; it already does the correct thing.

Make the emulations, exec formats, coredump, NFS, and the NFS server
into modules. By and large this commit:

- shuffles header files and ifdefs
- splits code out where necessary to be modular
- adds module glue for each of the components
- adds/replaces hooks for things that can be installed at runtime

merge ktrace-lwp.

# c83eb997 26-Mar-2004 drochner <drochner@NetBSD.org>

nothing cares about __HAVE_SIGINFO anymore, so nuke it

Add SA_SIGINFO support for VAX.

# aad01611 07-Aug-2003 agc <agc@NetBSD.org>

Move UCB-licensed code from 4-clause to 3-clause licence.

Patches provided by Joel Baker in PR 22364, verified by myself.

Add a new feature-test macro, _NETBSD_SOURCE. If this is defined
by the application, all NetBSD interfaces are made visible, even
if some other feature-test macro (like _POSIX_C_SOURCE) is defined.
<sys/featuretest.h> defined _NETBSD_SOURCE if none of _ANSI_SOURCE,
_POSIX_C_SOURCE and _XOPEN_SOURCE is defined, so as to preserve
existing behaviour.

This has two major advantages:
+ Programs that require non-POSIX facilities but define _POSIX_C_SOURCE
can trivially be overruled by putting -D_NETBSD_SOURCE in their CFLAGS.
+ It makes most of the #ifs simpler, in that they're all now ORs of the
various macros, rather than having checks for (!defined(_ANSI_SOURCE) ||
!defined(_POSIX_C_SOURCE) || !defined(_XOPEN_SOURCE)) all over the place.

I've tried not to change the semantics of the headers in any case where
_NETBSD_SOURCE wasn't defined, but there were some places where the
current semantics were clearly mad, and retaining them was harder than
correcting them. In particular, I've mostly normalised things so that
_ANSI_SOURCE gets you the smallest set of stuff, then _POSIX_C_SOURCE,
_XOPEN_SOURCE and _NETBSD_SOURCE in that order.

Tested by building for vax, encouraged by thorpej, and uncontested in
tech-userlevel for a week.
