All support 52the AUI media type. The other media is either BNC or UTP behind a 53transciever. Software cannot differentiate between BNC and UTP cards. 54.Pp 55To enable the AUI media, select the 56.Em 10base5 57or 58.Em aui 59media type with 60.Xr ifconfig 8 's 61.Sq media 62directive. To select the other media (BNC or UTP), select the 63.Em 10base2 64or 65.Em bnc 66media type. 67.Sh DIAGNOSTICS 68.Bl -diag 69.It "ec0: wildcarded IRQ is not allowed" 70The IRQ was wildcarded in the kernel configuration file. This is not 71supported. 72.It "ec0: invalid IRQ <n>, must be 3, 4, 5, or 9" 73An IRQ other than the above listed IRQs was specified in the kernel 74configuration file. The Etherlink II hardware only supports the 75above listed IRQs. 76.It "ec0: failed to clear shared memory at offset <off>" 77The memory test was unable to clear shared the interface's shared memory 78region. This often indicates that the card is configured at a conflicting 79.Em iomem 80address. 81.El 82.Sh SEE ALSO 83.Xr ifconfig 8 , 84.Xr intro 4 , 85.Xr isa 4 86
