These commands are text editors, command shells, searching and sorting tools, system status commands, communication tools (remote commands, mail), compilers and compiler tools, file manoevering commands, output formatting tools, printer commands and so on. .Pp All commands set a status value upon exit which may be tested to see if the command completed normally. The values and their meanings are explained in the individual manuals.
