PR58819: Correct linkage and mangling of lambdas in inline static member initializers
https://llvm.org/pr58819 - clang is giving an externally visible lambda in a static data member internal linkage and the wrong linkage name.
Looks like we should be classifying this case the same as a non-static data member, so far as I can tell from the ABI docs and template examples (seems like the non-template inline-defined case should be the same).
This is a change in ABI, but not sure it qualifies as an ABI break as far as Apple and Sony are concerned - do you folks want this change? (it should fix the example in the bug where a static member in such a lambda ends up bifurcated, and I don't /think/ it'll break existing code since the symbol was previously internal anyway)
Looks like GCC has got this mangling slightly wrong (so we'd still end up with GCC+Clang bifurcation of the local static in the lambda, function address inequality, etc) in that they miss the variable name in the mangling in the non-template case. GCC bug: https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=107741

[Clang] Change AnonStructIds in MangleContext to per-function based
Clang is generating different mangled names for the same lambda function in slightly changed builds (like with non-related source/Macro change). This is due to the fact that clang uses a cross-translation-unit sequential string "$_<n>" in lambda's mangled name. Here, "n" is the AnonStructIds field in MangleContext.
Different mangled names for a unchanged function is undesirable: it makes perf comparison harder, and can cause some unnecessary profile mismatch in SampleFDO.
This patch makes mangled name for lambda functions more stable by changing AnonStructIds to a per-function based seq number if the DeclContext is a function.

[clang] Correct handling of lambdas in lambda default arguments in dependent contexts.
Previously, a lambda expression in a dependent context with a default argument containing an immediately invoked lambda expression would produce a closure class object that, if invoked such that the default argument was used, resulted in a compiler crash or one of the following assertion failures during code generation. The failures occurred regardless of whether the lambda expressions were dependent.
clang/lib/CodeGen/CGCall.cpp: Assertion `(isGenericMethod || Ty->isVariablyModifiedType() || Ty.getNonReferenceType()->isObjCRetainableType() || getContext() .getCanonicalType(Ty.getNonReferenceType()) .getTypePtr() == getContext().getCanonicalType((*Arg)->getType()).getTypePtr()) && "type mismatch in call argument!"' failed.
clang/lib/AST/Decl.cpp: Assertion `!Init->isValueDependent()' failed.
Default arguments in declarations in local context are instantiated along with their enclosing function or variable template (since such declarations can't be explicitly specialized). Previously, such instantiations were performed at the same time that their associated parameters were instantiated. However, that approach fails in cases like the following in which the context for the inner lambda is the outer lambda, but construction of the outer lambda is dependent on the parameters of the inner lambda. This change resolves this dependency by delyaing instantiation of default arguments in local contexts until after construction of the enclosing context. template <typename T> auto f() { return [](T = []{ return T{}; }()) { return 0; }; }
Refactoring included with this change results in the same code now being used to instantiate default arguments that appear in local context and those that are only instantiated when used at a call site; previously, such code was duplicated and out of sync.

[OpaquePtrs][Clang] Add -no-opaque-pointers to tests (NFC)
This adds -no-opaque-pointers to clang tests whose output will change when opaque pointers are enabled by default. This is intended to be part of the migration approach described in https://discourse.llvm.org/t/enabling-opaque-pointers-by-default/61322/9.
The patch has been produced by replacing %clang_cc1 with %clang_cc1 -no-opaque-pointers for tests that fail with opaque pointers enabled. Worth noting that this doesn't cover all tests, there's a remaining ~40 tests not using %clang_cc1 that will need a followup change.

[test] Add {{.*}} to make tests immune to dso_local/dso_preemptable/(none) differences
For a definition (of most linkage types), dso_local is set for ELF -fno-pic/-fpie and COFF, but not for Mach-O. This nuance causes unneeded binary format differences.
This patch replaces (function) `define ` with `define{{.*}} `, (variable/constant/alias) `= ` with `={{.*}} `, or inserts appropriate `{{.*}} ` if there is an explicit linkage.
* Clang will set dso_local for Mach-O, which is currently implied by TargetMachine.cpp. This will make COFF/Mach-O and executable ELF similar. * Eventually I hope we can make dso_local the textual LLVM IR default (write explicit "dso_preemptable" when applicable) and -fpic ELF will be similar to everything else. This patch helps move toward that goal.

[mangle] Fix mangling where an extra mangle context is required.
Summary: - [Itanium C++ ABI][1], for certain contexts like default parameter and etc., mangling numbering will be local to the particular argument in which it appears. - However, for these cases, the mangle numbering context is allocated per expression evaluation stack entry. That causes, for example, two lambdas defined/used understand the same default parameter are numbered as the same value and, in turn, one of them is not generated at all. - In this patch, an extra mangle numbering context map is maintained in the AST context to map taht extra declaration context to its numbering context. So that, 2 different lambdas defined/used in the same default parameter are numbered differently.
