use ruleset 2 to rewrite names after the $g translate (to fix some
forwarding problems; do a read check in putmessage (just in case
the temp file disappeared); some general cleanup.

change From: processing to reduce the number of Original-From:
lines; change allocation of global variables.

add auto-rebuild on alias database; fix some aliasing bugs;
add statistics to rebuild; slight code restructuring; change
version handling one last (?) time

add NOTUNIX compile flag to turn off UNIX "From " line processing

Arrange to pull full name out of From line if found; includes
Original-From: hacking (oh so ugly). There's got to be a better way
